Meet Jordan

Hi, and welcome to my TreasureYourDreams blog!
Most of what you will find here is posts about goal setting and dream building. The reason for this is because I truly believe that knowing how to set clear goals and remembering how to really dream big are two ingredients that are essential for your overall success!
In addition to those types of posts though, you’ll also find my own personal thoughts as I work my business, and just go through my life! I want the readers of my blog to feel like they are getting to know me through my posts
Here’s a little background on me –
I grew up in a good home with a great family. I was raised attending a Christian school from the time I was 6 years old until I graduated from high school — it was a wonderful environment for me to learn, and to figure out my core values in my life.
In the years leading up to graduation, like most people my age, I struggled with what I wanted to “be” when I “grew up” — I knew the type of lifestyle I wanted, but was unsure of exactly what I needed to do to get it.
I knew there were two things I wanted out of life: financial freedom, and the freedom of my time. I also knew that most people had one or the other… but there are few (very few) who figure out how to have both.
I played with the idea of becoming a teacher — I grew up riding horses and competing in horse shows all over Texas and New Mexico, and I knew that being a teacher would allow me to be off work during the show season (aka: the summer). But being a teacher, while solving the “time freedom” problem, left a little to be desired when it came to the financial freedom part.
I also played with the idea of becoming a veterinarian — I loved animals, and being a vet would allow me to spend my time at work with them while also providing a solid income. Well, it only took one biology class of having to disect a cat for me to realize that being a vet was definitely NOT for me!
So what WAS there? Yes, I wanted financial freedom — but I also wanted the freedom to use my time in the way that I wanted. I was determined to travel, to see the world, to be able to really ENJOY my life!
Well, that’s when my Mom introduced me to Relationship Marketing.
The concept, was incredible. It had everything I was looking for and at the age of 18 I grabbed onto the idea with both hands and prepared for the ride. After about a year of college, I decided that “Plan B: Get a degree, just in case” was never going to be an option for me.
There was no “just in case” — I was in. For life. Nothing was going to change, no matter what!
So, I left school and pursued building my business full time. I did okay for my first couple of years, but then I read a book that literally, changed my life.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to pick up Maximum Achievement by Brian Tracy, then I highly, highly reccommend that you do. This book, and the concepts taught in it, changed the entire way that I look at life. It was at that time that I devolped a passion for goal setting, for the power of positive thinking, for the belief in the Law of Attraction and for so many of the core things that have shaped my life over the past 2 1/2 years.
Over the next 2 years I advanced to leadership roles within the company I was working with — I was asked to speak on goal setting at 3 consecutive company events, and I recieved a Rising Star award for my team’s growth.
I also began listening to and learning from a man who has since become my mentor and friend, Michael Clouse – his CD materials taught practical, duplicatable methods for building a relationship marketing business, and through listening to his material over and over again, and by putting what I learned into action, my business grew even more.
I worked with the same company from the time I was 18 until February of 2010 — at that time, I learned of a new opportunity that, in my opinion, was too incredible to pass up. I made the decision to switch companies, and since that time have been working to build a new team of talented entrepreneurs with a company that I know will have me for life, 21Ten.
My family and I travelled to Las Vegas for the pre-launch of this new company, and at the end of the weekend my boyfriend of 2 1/2 years, Robert, asked me to marry him. We are now engaged and are planning our Walt Disney World wedding for January of 2011!
Because of my business I am able to work (at most) only about 20 hours a week, and still earn a full-time income. I am able to pursue my favorite hobbies, such as travelling 3-5 times a year, volunteering at the local equestrian center and making sure I never miss a single Texas Tech football game.
My business has provided me all the things I ever wanted out of life — I am well on my way to a life of true financial freedom, and already I have the freedom of my time to live my life exactly how I want!
Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me — if you’re reading my blogs, I would love to hear about you! Feel free to contact me anytime, and I look forward to hearing from you in the future!
